Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Proof Hunt and how to make the most of the platform.

Proof Hunt is a platform where creators exchange authentic endorsements through a bounty system. You post bounties offering rewards (like X posts or testimonials) and complete sub-bounties on other projects to unlock those rewards. Think of it as a give-to-get ecosystem for social proof.

Sign up with your Google account, add your first project, and create a bounty describing what kind of endorsements you want. Then browse other bounties, complete sub-bounties by providing genuine feedback, and watch the endorsements roll in for your own project.

Yes! Proof Hunt is currently free to use. We believe in building a strong community of creators helping each other before introducing any premium features.

A bounty is your request for endorsements. When you create a bounty, you specify what type of proof you want (X posts or testimonials), how many you need, and describe your project. Other creators can then fulfill your bounty by providing authentic feedback.

Sub-bounties are tasks you complete to earn rewards. Before you can receive endorsements from others, you need to provide endorsements yourself. This ensures everyone contributes to the community and keeps the feedback authentic.

The number varies based on what you're asking for. Generally, you'll need to complete a few sub-bounties (providing feedback to other projects) before your own bounty rewards are unlocked. The exact number is shown when you create your bounty.

Currently, you can request two types of endorsements: X Posts (tweets about your project shared publicly) and Testimonials (written reviews you can display on your website or marketing materials).

X Posts are public tweets that mention your project, giving you social proof on the platform. Testimonials are written reviews that you can use anywhere, like your landing page, Product Hunt launch, or investor deck. Both are valuable, just in different ways.

Because everyone has skin in the game. Contributors must actually try your product to write meaningful feedback, and they're motivated to write quality endorsements because they want quality endorsements in return. The give-to-get model naturally filters out low-effort responses.

Absolutely! You can add as many projects as you want and create separate bounties for each one. This is great if you're building multiple products or want different types of feedback for different features.

We support projects across Web, iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows. When you add a project, you'll specify which platform it's for so contributors know what they're reviewing.

The community naturally self-regulates. Since everyone needs quality endorsements for their own projects, there's a built-in incentive to provide thoughtful feedback. If you receive feedback that doesn't meet your standards, you're not obligated to accept it.

Yes! One of the best parts of Proof Hunt is discovering amazing projects you wouldn't have found otherwise. Many creators form lasting connections after exchanging feedback. We're building features to make these connections even easier.
